Hartley Wintney is the most idyllic village, and home to one of the oldest cricket clubs in Hampshire and has a population of 5000 residents
At the southern end is has a charming duck pond, (complete with thatched roof)
Although the area has many established homes some new estates have been recently built the latest of which being St Marys Park (built by Barratt Homes) which is off Dilly Lane.
The A30 runs through the village and there is easy access to the M3, the nearest train station is in Winchfield.
The village shops are quaint and the area is well known for its antique shops, the village hall has an antiques market most months.
Every Wednesday the village has a street market selling local produce
The White Lion Antiques Centre is host to a Classic Car meeting attended by many vintage car enthusiasts who proudly show off their fabulous cars which have taken years of toil and sweat to restore. and the event is open to the public,
The Hartley Wintney (18 hole) Golf club has been in existence for over 100 years and has the most beautiful tranquil surroundings with mature trees and water hazards.
The area does however suffer from Hard Water and Kevin Goody (UK Water Softeners) has been looking after the residents of Hartley Wintney for over 19 years and has over 4500 customers locally.
He recommends the TwinTec S3 water softener (manufactured by Harvey Water Softeners), the softener is small, twincylinder, has no electrics and it takes Block Salt (like two housebricks) so there are no heavy 25 kg bags of salt to hump around.
